Four-star RB Dylan Edwards commits to Notre Dame

Derby (was.) A four-star high school going back Dylan Edwards It’s the latest class of 2023 to stick to Our Lady. He announced his decision live on Saturday afternoon 247 Sports YouTube Page.

The 5-9, 165-pounder narrowed his recruits to Notre Dame, Oregon and Kansas State, the school he was once committed to, but decided that playing with the fighting Irish was what he wanted most. Edwards is well connected with the full-back coach Deland McCullough, quickly set up a visit to South Bend after receiving an offer in July, committed before leaving campus. The Irish wanted to add more speed to their roster and Edwards will bring all that and more to Fighting Irish Football.

In Edwards, Notre Dame gets an alpha character, a man, if you will. This is a young man who is very confident in his abilities, believes he is the best player on the field every time the lights come on, and often times he supports it with his play. He rushed for more than 2,600 yards last season and about 40 degrees. He can definitely fly. He has beaten two elite races, Zacharias Branch And the Peyton Bowen, in a foot race at Camp Future 50 this off-season. He’s the kind of talent who does everything, too. He can catch the ball out of court, lining up in the hole or even outside. He has an elite burst and feet. Possessing tremendous speed, he can walk away from defenders and has an exceptional change of direction. What I love most is his poise and ability to embrace any and all contact, despite the fact that he is small in stature and still needs to add a lot of good weight in the years to come.

Edwards joins the four-star category Jayden Limar In the Notre Dame commit list. The two-headed monster is exactly what McCullough was looking for in this episode. However, they are not finished yet. They’re also looking to land a four-star rear/receiver Jeremiah Love, which remains a prime target of Irish fighters. McCullough, Offensive Coordinator Tommy Race And the coach Marcus Freeman You will continue to push hard to land with the offensive weapon.

247 National Sports Analyst Allen Trio He’s high on Edwards and thinks the Irishman landed well on his explosive back.

Dylan Edwards He is a dynamic player who checks for speed and change of direction as well as high school productivity,” Trio said. He’s done a great job in the off-season camps, showing he can catch the ball and this helped him move into four-star status with 247. The only thing he doesn’t have is the typical size but he has everything else and I can see that he has a similar career. Keren Williams, another appeared that was not large but was diverse and productive. Edwards will probably give the Irish a little more in terms of being able to run from home, too.”

For every 247 sports, Edwards is No. 16 in returning in the country and No. 3 inductees in Kansas. 247Sports Composite Rankings ranks him as the No. 19 talent nationally and No. 2 in his home state of the 2023 category.
